VP Finance Position is Now Open – Apply before April 18, 2025

The Students’ Society of McGill University (鶹Ʒ) is excited to announce that the Vice-President (Finance) position is now open for applications.
Following recent changes to the 鶹Ʒ Constitution, this role is now a hired position rather than an elected one. This change passed with 87.7% approval during the and aims to ensure that experienced and qualified individuals fill the role.
About the Role
The Vice-President (Finance) is responsible for the long-term financial stability of the Society and will:
- Provide financial reports to the Executive Committee, Legislative Council and Board of Directors.
- Develop the annual budget in alignment with 鶹Ʒ’s priorities.
- Supervise the disbursement of 鶹Ʒ funds and ensure compliance with governance policies.
- Manage Society group insurance plans.
- Authorize agreements that bind the Society.
- Oversee the Finances of the Society’s Clubs and Services and ensure Independent Student-Group adherence to 鶹Ʒ Policy.
Term
- The term runs from June 1st 2025 to May 31st, 2026
- Training period from May 1st, 2025, to May 31st, 2025.
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Paid position
